Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-The CDC offers destination specific information, reference materials, outbreak information, information on traveling with children, special need travelers, diseases, vaccinations, safe food and water and information for cruise ship and air travel.

Travel Health Online-This site provides information by destination, traveler information by areas of concern, and travel medicine provider information. Access to this information requires registering with site which is FREE.

U.S. Department of State-Country Specific Information->Ensure you are are aware of the current status of major events occurring in the world by reviewing this Country Specific Information Web page of the U.S. Department of State Web site.

Overseas Advisory Council-An organization developed by the U.S. Department of State which frequently updates travel warnings and advisories for foreign countries. This service targets private sector businesses but provides information useful to all travelers.

World Health Organization (WHO) (opens in a new window)-Learn about the objectives of and gain information about an agency that specializes in health for people in over 190 states around the world. The objective of this agency is "the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health" with health being defined as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
